Earlier in the month we toured the Timber factories in McKinney, Texas. In the front factory they make Blinds, Honeycombs and Exterior Shades. In the second factory they make Roller Shades and Plantation Shutters. They employ 550 Texans cranking out tens of thousands of window coverings a day, mostly by hand, from millions of dollars of materials. We observed every stage of the process all the way through measuring, cutting, assembling, testing, cleaning, packaging and loading into FedEx trailers. That place is absolutely amazing. I took these photos while there.
Because they’re made in Texas – they can be in your windows in about 7 days after you order.
Later we drove down to the Design Center in Dallas to visit Timber’s Design Studio. There we learned about all of Timber’s current, and soon to be released products. I took these photos while there.
